Default Lock and Dam #14 Saturday February 13...

So, who's up for a trip to the lock?? It's time for another run out there. I think pretty soon the eagles will be flying South, North, East, whatever direction they go when they go where they go. Let's get plans going.

I think I'd like to get in on this. time is running out.

Jeff, find out if those guys from the Nikon board will be there with bait.

The weather right now is forecast as party cloudy and mid 20s. seems ideal.

The more the merrier. I can fit two or three in the van, plus gear. There's always somebody out there feeding the eagles, but if there isn't we should still get some type of action. At the least we can all run around like idiots and shoot each other. I'm really kicking myself for not taking any pictures of the lineup of photographers that were out there on the 30th, that would have been a hell of a shot.

Heather, if the eagles hold out long enough we can figure out a day to get out there.

Jeff, seems to me you did just fine with the Tammy 200-500mm, why worry about renting a lens. You already have 500mm covered, and looking at the shots you got I don't see the need for the slight difference in IQ a prime would give you. Once you shoot out there once and go over your images, you kinda figure out what to do the next time, and shots improve.

So, who's gonna jump in the van this time??

I could go Friday, but I take my daughter to school in the morning and bring her home in the afternoon. That doesn't allow for long trips. Short trips, like to the zoo or something, are okay, but going out to the lock is a no-go.
